The Amelia Island Concours has announced Lyn St. James as the Honoree of the 2021 event, scheduled for the weekend of March 4-7, 2021.
St, James laid the groundwork for women in top-level motorsports, competing in Indy Racing League, CART, ALMS and other major oval and road racing series.
Most notable as a Ford factory driver, St. James campaigned a Merkur XR4Ti in the 1988 12 Hours of Sebring as well as a Porsche 935 and Ferrari 365 GTB/4 in earlier runnings of the event. She also raced at the 24 Hours of LeMans and the 24 Hours of Nurburgring.
Retired from racing since 2001, she works as a motivational speaker and continues to advocate for inclusion in motorsports.
The 26th Amelia Island Concours weekend will take place from March 4-7, 2021 on Amelia Island in Florida.
