VintagEuro celebrates Classic European Motoring – the cars and motorcycles that came out of Europe after WWII until the end of the 20th century. Not just the machines, but the people and the experiences that helped make this part of automotive history so unique. We do this by producing a curated mix of original articles, photography, videos, podcasts and live events.

Founded by automotive writer Bryan Joslin, VintagEuro first launched as a podcast and website in 2020. After 9 years working in digital publishing at VWvvortex, Joslin branched out to contribute to such magazines as European Car, EuroTuner, Bimmer, Excellence, and Collectible Automobile, as well as to websites including Hagerty.com and Petrolicious.com. He also launched and published the North American Land Rover magazine Alloy+Grit.

VintagEuro aims to unify enthusiast of classic British, German, Italian, French and Swedish vehicles as one community, to introduce first-time owners to seasoned collectors, and to inspire the next generation of drivers to keep the spirit of these machine alive for the future.

VintagEuro and the Use of AI

Look, we love old machines. At VintagEuro, we celebrate the kind you can smell, hear, and feel. Our editorial philosophy reflects that, leaning heavily into the analog, the tactile, and the human.

Everything we produce is done by people who actually own, drive, wrench on, photograph, and obsess over these machines. Not by algorithms or prompt farms.

That said, we’re not luddites. We may drive the classics, but we publish in the 21st century. So here’s where we draw the line when using artificial intelligence.

Photos: Real Light, Real Cameras, Real Moments
Every image starts with a real photograph, shot by us or used with permission. We may clean it up, balance it, or gently extend a background if needed, just like traditional darkroom or Photoshop work. What we won’t do is invent cars, scenery, or moments that never happened.
No prompt-generated fantasy garages. No AI Countaches parked on the moon.

Words: Written by People Who Smell Like Fuel
Our stories are written by real enthusiasts with their own opinions, experiences, and – almost certainly – greasy fingernails. AI may help us research, brainstorm, or catch typos, but it does not write our articles.
If it sounds like a person who cares, that’s because someone does.

Audio & Video: Actual Voices Only
If you hear someone speaking in our videos or podcasts, it’s a real human being. We may use smart tools to remove coughs, balance levels, or generate transcripts, but the conversation itself will always be real.
No synthetic narrators. No robot Jeremy Clarkson impressions.

The Boring but Necessary Stuff
We may use AI to help with website code, metadata, admin tasks, and other non-editorial work. But we think of it as power steering, not autopilot.

Why This Matters
We embrace technology when it serves authenticity rather than replaces it. VintagEuro exists to celebrate real machines, real experiences, and real people. Our use of AI reflects that philosophy: helpful in the background, invisible in the spotlight.

No synthetic nostalgia. No artificial passion. Just real machines, real stories, and properly analog motoring.
