Aston Martin Collaborates with The Little Car Company on DB5 Junior

Look, if you’ve got a real DB5 in the garage, this 2/3-scale replica built by The Little Car Company is a must-have for your lucky offspring. In fact, as a current owner, you’ll have priority access to this $46,500 (£35,000) tribute.

The DB5 Junior features a composite body but uses an aluminum honeycomb chassis and double-wishbone front suspension. In back is a live axle suspension that mimics the original car’s design, right down to the Panhard rod. Headlights, brake lights, turn signals and horn are all functional, as it the authentic Smiths clock in the dashboard.

Power comes from a 6.7-hp electric motor to deliver a top speed of 30 mph. If that doesn’t sound adequate, perhaps you should wait for the 13.4-hp DB5 Vantage Junior, which will also incorporate a limited-slip rear axle, carbon fiber bodywork and dual batteries.

Only 1059 examples will be built, and ownership certainly has its privileges, including your child’s membership in the Aston Martin Owner’s Club. Of course, having a child is not a pre-requisite for purchase.
